How to Prepare for the PS Vita 3.70 Jailbreak!

Video is ready, Click Here to View ×

TheFloW has made an announcement in the form of a PSA detailing what you’ll need for the upcoming Jailbreak for PS Vita consoles on firmwares 3.69 and 3.70! This tutorial will not at all modify your existing console, but it is required to do in order to prepare your console for the upcoming release before it gets patched. This new method is a PSP Emulator Escape and requires at minimum 1 PSP or PSP mini game to be downloaded to your console. As this method can be patched in a future update and requires a current PSN purchase, TheFloW has announced news about this several weeks in advance to allow people to adequately prepare themselves for the upcoming release. The current ETA for this new exploit release is for the second half of May 2019.

If you have any interest in modifying your PS Vita now or in the future and you’re on firmware 3.69 or 3.70, take a few minutes out of your day and follow this tutorial. Again, this method is prone to be patched quickly once it is released, so the most important thing is to prepare yourself in advance by having one PSP or PSP mini game installed on your Vita! PS1 games do not count, only PSP or PSP mini games.

  1. So what kind of perks come with hacking a Vita/pstv?
Can you get games on the psvita store for free? I've heard you can use it as an emulator, but I never really found out what else you can do with a hacked Vita. Someone please fill me in!

  2. Nah, I think I will buy a new phone instead of used vita.

The phone I'm planning to buy is Samsung Galaxy j4 plus or Samsung Galaxy j6. Not sure which one yet.

  3. I got a brand new PS Vita slim from Play-Asia a few months ago that was on 3.68 when I turned it on for the first time, I'm wondering, is it still possible to put a PSN account on it (it doesn't have one, I have one made years ago in mind), to put CFW and such without it updating to 3.70? I want to try to mod it, but I'm worried about it updating to 3.70 in the process.

  4. I don't even have a psp, but I used your video to hack my ps3 couple of days ago, so I'm not gonna stop showing support. Awesome work as always

  5. I have small storage of 8gbs in my micro to download games can I still do modifications without having to worry about upgrading the storage in the near future? Also this seems like this will be the last time we will get an update to modify the vita, so i dont want to mess up and miss this opportunity.
